The LWVPGH Board normally meets on the second Monday of each month. The date for the April meeting was changed for this month only. Members are welcome to attend.

On Tuesday, April 2, at 6 p.m. ET on Zoom, Al Schmidt, head of the Pennsylvania Department of State, will join Spotlight PA to discuss how his agency is working to create trust in our election system and combat misinformation. Schmidt will take audience questions. The event will also include a Q&A with a University of Pittsburgh researcher on how to spot election misinformation. Submit your questions in advance to events@spotlightpa.org.

The courts are engaged in the election process, starting with the pre-election process, and continuing until after results are released. This program will explain the structures in place to keep elections safe, impartial and fair. Deborah Gross, Esq., President and CEO of Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts, will moderate a panel of distinguished judges including, Judge Elizabeth Doyle, Judge Idee Fox, Judge Rochelle Friedman, and Judge John E. Jones III.
This event is co-sponsored by Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts and the League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh.

Join in a discussion with a non-partisan panel of local community leaders to discuss the power of voter engagement. This event will be hosted by Rev. Dr. Judith C. Moore, CEO of Sisters Saving Ourselves Now, and the Pittsburgh - Western PA Black Women‘s Roundtable, and moderated by Rick Adams and Jackie Hill.
In April, the book club will be focusing on the topic of Artificial Intelligence Choose your own reading and join the discussion. New members are welcome.
The Non-Fiction Book Club meets on the third Friday of each month. Contact Joan to be added to the mailing list for this group.
The LWVPGH webteam meets online on the fourth Monday of each month. New members are welcome to attend. Web design experience is not necessary.
Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Absentee or Mail-in Ballots must be received by the County Elections Office by 8:00 pm. Check your registration status and find your polling place at the link below.
Arrange a ride to your polling place, or volunteer to drive on Election Day with B-PEP‘s "Roll to the Polls". Roll to the Polls serves several neighborhoods, including the Hill District, Northside, Manchester, Homewood, East Hills, East Liberty, Garfield, Bloomfield, Wilkinsburg, Braddock, McKeesport, Southside and West Side.
