About this event
Join LWVPGH for our May Program, "Global Climate Change: What It Is and What We Can Do About It"
Fires, storms and floods are on the news all the time. The climate is changing and it is impacting humans and natural habitats alike. However, the solutions to the crisis are also real. By being conscious of the food we eat, how we dispose of our waste, and what energy source powers our home, we can each be part of the fix. Supporting measures on regenerative agriculture and land conservation can improve our capacity to mitigate climate change. Learn how nature can be harnessed to absorb carbon, cool our communities, and improve our lives in the process.
Our speaker, Sarada Sangameswaran, is the Board President of the Mount Lebanon Nature Conservancy, faculty at CCAC, and the former Education Director of the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden.
This event will be held online, and is open to the public.
